How Hajj Starts –

Muslims believe that  Prophet Ibrahim was ordered by Allah to leave his wife Hajara and his son Ismail alone in the barren desert of ancient Mecca. In search of water, Hajara ran seven times between the two hills of Safa and Marwah but found nothing. Returning in despair to Ismail, she saw the baby scratching the ground with his leg and a water fountain sprang forth at the site.                                                                                                                                                After this incident hajj is fardh on every Muslim, Prophet Ibrahim was entrusted by Allah to build the Kaaba. The Prophet Ibrahim and his son started the foundation of the house called Kaaba .  every year prophet ibrahim along with his son came to mecca to perform Hajj. this is continued by his son after his death.  Hajj performed nowadays was established by prophet Muhammad the last prophet of islam 1400 years ago.
